Nancy D'Agostino: Master Vocal Coach & Singing Teacher

With a career spanning over 35 years in the music and performing arts industry, Nancy D'Agostino has established herself as a  cornerstone of vocal education. As the Founder of the Institute of Singing, she has evolved from an accomplished Singing Teacher, Recording Artist and Stage Producer into a Master Vocal Coach dedicated to the science and art of the human voice. 

While her early career saw her in the recording studio and preparing for the world stage, Nancy found her true calling in the development of others. Having founded and led three successful music institutions - beginning with the White Diamond School of Modern Singing, and expanding to the Institute of Performing Arts - she has spent decades mastering every facet of  Vocal Foundation Technique (VFT) towards mastering the voice, song and performance, vocal health, the singer's mindset, songwriting, and studio recording to large-scale event production and artist management.

Nancy is the creator of  Vocalology®, a signature methodology that bridges the gap between raw talent and professional technique. Her approach to song dissection and the practical application of notation has empowered thousands of singers - from emerging local artists to international professionals - to master their craft from the studio to the world stage. 

Nancy's passion for communication extends beyond the singing lesson. As an internationally self-published author and illustrator, she has merged her love for music and literacy through the Hullabaloo Book Series.

Her creative mission is to inspire a new generation of children to find their unique  voice. By combining descriptive, rhyming words with original music, Nancy's work provides a multi-sensory learning experience that helps children follow their hearts and realise their dreams through the power of rhyme and rhythm. 

1. 35 Years of Founder Leadership & Vision: 

•  A lifelong commitment to the arts beginning with the White Diamond School of Modern Singing and White Diamond Music Management. This legacy of excellence evolved into the Institute  of Performing Arts and ultimately the Institute of Singing. 
• Over 3 and a half decades, Nancy has founded and led premier institutions for vocal excellence and dedicated to transforming students into professional artists, providing a total 360-degree approach to vocal mastery and career management. 

2. Creation of  Vocal Foundation Technique &  Vocalology®:

• Developed the Vocal Foundation Technique (VFT), a system of Practical Theory including breathing, diction, placement, projection, vocal release - designed to fix vocal limitations and build the strength, health, and mindset required of a professional artist. 
• Trademarked the  Vocalology®  Methodology:  a scientific, results-driven framework for Song dissection & Practical Application. By utilising the  Vocalology® Song Score,  Nancy enables students to accurately identify vocal limitations and fast-track their mastery of repertoire ranging from simple to complex.
• Bridging the Gap: By applying this specialised notation system, Nancy connects technical foundation with song delivery, allowing students to hone their unique artistry and for many, transform into professional-grade artists and achieve a world-class standard of performance.  

3. International Author & Illustrator & Recording Artist:

• Launched in 2025, the  Hullabaloo Book and Music Series, a global multimedia legacy,  that brings literacy to life through original music and performance. 
• Created a multi-sensory learning experience that merges music with descriptive, rhyming storytelling, inspiring a new generation of children to find their unique voice and follow their dreams. 
• Established an international footprint as a self-published creator, bridging the gap between foundational literacy and creative vocal expression for young learners worldwide.
